The corrosion starts with moisture and oxygen. Keep the batteries dry and clean as well as terminal protectant applied to the battery terminals.

Granted the battery cleaners are effective, but more importantly, how can the recurrence be minimized or permanently eliminatedPearl. I own other vehicles that show little or no corrosion. Why?

you can also clean your batteries with backing soda.remember to clean the cable ends also.

This was really informative. I have fought battery corrosion for years with baking soda. Was never aware of the battery cleaner shown. That will be my next project. Thanksnot

If the batteries have vent holes battery cleaner will seep into the cells. NOT GOOD.Use this method only on sealed no maint batteries.. Remove cables, clean terminals, test batts,spray with battery terminal protector, reconnect, charge batts.
