Bicycles offer a great way for RVers to explore a destination. When shopping for bicycles that will be used with your motorhome or trailer, be sure to consider how you’ll carry them. Folding bikes can be stowed in an outside locker or basement storage, but will need to be unpacked and set up when you arrive at your destination. Sturdy mountain bikes can be transported on a rack on the back of your motorhome or dinghy and are ready to ride, which means you can pull them down and get rolling whenever you find a fun trail to explore. Check your RV supply store for specialty racks that will allow you to transport bicycles on your coach, on top of your car, behind your trunk or hatchback, in your truck bed or attached to a rear-mount spare wheel.
