Listen carefully to your water pump. Is it making noises beyond the normal running sound of the pump, like vibration or rumbling? This could be caused by rigid water line connections to the pump, like copper tubing. Replace these with flexible hose. Also check to see that the pump is mounted on rubber feet or a sound-absorbing pad. If not, remount the pump on a rubber pad. You can find these inexpensive parts in any hardware store and they are easily installed—even by those who are all thumbs. Then enjoy the quiet.
